Bats, bases and big smiles are coming to Soper Creek Park as Clarington marks the reopening of its newly upgraded baseball diamond with a community celebration on Sunday, May 31, from 2:30 to 5 p.m.
Families, athletes and neighbours are invited to come out and enjoy an afternoon packed with baseball-themed fun, community activities and hands-on experiences for kids of all ages.
Thanks to the Jays Care Foundation’s Field Of Dreams granting program, made possible by TD, the hardball diamond at Soper Creek Park has received some much-anticipated upgrades, including new players’ benches, a new backstop, improved surface grading and covered dugouts that provide shade and shelter.
