Built for neurodivergent families and anyone who wants a calmer play space: sensory room, sensory swing, open play, private play sessions, respite drop-off, sibling care, and ECE-led summer camps. Whitby's new recreation hub in north Brooklin at 2 Gathering Pl, west side of Baldwin St S south of Highway 407. Expected to open in summer 2026 with Durham Region's largest municipal pool, a twin-pad arena, gymnasium, and Roybrook Park outdoors (lit pickleball, tennis, and basketball courts, artificial turf field, skatepark, and pump track). Large indoor play centre at 680 Laval Dr in the Prime SmartCentres plaza (Oshawa South), a short drive from Playloola on the same stretch of Laval. Trampolines, multi-level soft play, ninja-style obstacles, wall climbing, a toddler zone, arcade games (separate purchase), party rooms, and an on-site café. Admission listed from $11.99 for toddlers and $23.99 for ages 4 and up, with an extra fee for additional adults; weekends, P.A. days, and school holidays may use timed sessions. New outdoor pool at Rotary Park (254 Centre St S) reopening summer 2026 after the park revitalization. Four-lane pool, zero-entry area, toddler pool, splash pad, and a destination playground on the same site. Oshawa residents can get a free Rotary Pool Season Pass for drop-in leisure swims and swimming lessons during the first year of operation (proof of residency required; register online or at Civic, Delpark, Donevan, or South Oshawa community centres). Seasonal day-use water park in Bowmanville with pool, splash pads, aqua play for little kids, large waterslides (48" minimum, extra fee), mini-golf, playground, and picnic areas. General admission must be bought online in advance. About one hour from Toronto.

Watsonland playground is free with no admission to the farm. Includes a turbo slide, smaller slides, climbing area, swing sets, chicken-shaped climbers, a straw jump, and tractor photo ops, plus a petting zoo and farm market with fresh produce, baked goods, and local dairy.
